Health and Safety - What we need to know this year!
Health and Safety involves us all, fines and civil actions are increasing. Directors and managers are more at risk of being imprisoned and new health and safety legislation will affect all of our operations.
Stress, or at least failure to take the correct action in relation to employees experiencing stress, is becoming an expensive oversight which can no longer be ignored.
We have put together an experienced group of speakers who will provide many of the answers we require to avoid becoming a prosecution statistic and affecting our future livelihood.

Work at height causes fatality
A recent case has brought into focus the importance of the Work at Height Regulations 2005. An electrician was replacing fluorescent light tubes at a factory. In order to take out the old defective tube and insert a new tube, he had to take both hands off the ladder he was using to access the ceiling mounted light fittings. Removing one such tube caused the electrician to fall and he died of his injuries. A colleague sustained a broken arm. The ladder’s feet were subsequently found to be defective in that they had no rubber or plastic stops to reduce the risk of the ladder moving or slipping.
