Highfield MEA Attends Annual Food Chain Conference

The Dubai Food Chain Conference is an annual food safety conference organised by CPI Industries and which is becoming increasingly popular in Dubai. HABC MEA is proud to have participated in all the conferences to date and this year it was strongly supported by Dubai Municipality Food Control Department. HABC’s Richard Sprenger spoke at this year’s event, 22-23 May 2013, presenting on the topic of ‘Developing an Effective food Safety Culture’. Richard’s presentation was well received by attendees and HABC looks forward to attending the conference in the future.

HABC MEA to Exhibit at Eighth Dubai International Food Safety Conference

HABC is pleased to announce that it will be exhibiting at the Eighth Dubai International Food Safety Conference between 17-19 November 2013, held at the Dubai Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Dubai International Food Safety Conference is organised by the Food Control Department of Dubai Municipality and is supported by the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP). For the first time, HABC MEA will also be hosting the annual meeting of International Commission on Microbiological Specifications for Food (ICMSF) in Dubai.

Various workshops, technical sessions, and poster presentations during the conference will feature more than 200 presenters from all across the globe. The programs are designed to suit the food industry, regulatory authorities and students working in the field of food safety or interested in it. 1400 delegates attended the conference in 2012, a number that has been increasing each year. The growing number of delegates clearly indicates the interest the conference has been able to generate and we are sure that the programs will help all those involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of food safety programs.

HABC is proud to be attending the largest annual event in the Middle East. Richard Sprenger is also speaking at the event. Richard will be chairing a technical session on ‘Food Safety Management’ and giving a presentation on ‘Improving Food Inspection Skills’.

HABC MEA to Exhibit at OPITO Safety and Competence Conference

HABC MEA will be exhibiting at the OPITO Safety and Competence Conference on 19 November 2013 at the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel. This year’s conference will explore how a global approach to training standards, frameworks, qualifications and quality assurance of the training supply network add value for employers and what this means for individuals in the workplace.

The event will be of interest to anyone who leads on safety, competence and workforce development within their own organisation. This conference will also offer the opportunity to contribute to the continual evolution of world class industry practices that protect the workforce.

HABC attended the 2012 OPITO conference and is pleased to be attending the 2013 event, exhibiting to over 300 attendees.
