MEA News Update
As you may already be aware, due to our international expansion, HABC opened a new office in Dubai in 2010. Since then HABC Middle East Asia (MEA) has gone from strength to strength and due to a substantial increase in business, we have moved from our original location in Dubai Knowledge Village to a much larger office in Dubai Healthcare City. The new office is now in an ideal location as it is nearer to the majority of our customers and the airport. One of the rooms in the new office has been converted to a training room for up to 16 delegates with desks. The room will be used for CPD Events and will also be made available for our registered Centres to hire out.
We have recently introduced the newly translated Arabic Level 2 and Level 3 Food Safety in Catering examination papers. These papers have been received extremely well. Hindi, Urdu and Malayalam examination papers, and an Arabic version of the Food Safety Handbook, will be available shortly.
To show HABC’s commitment to and support for our trainers as well as to encourage the highest standards of training in Dubai, we have introduced a “Certificate of Excellence Award” scheme. All trainers will be automatically entered for the scheme provided they have recently taught at least 50 Person in Charge (PIC) or HABC candidates. A Certificate of Excellence will be awarded to the trainer and the Centre that achieves the best results from all HABC examinations held during the month. The trainer will receive 1000 AED
(approximately £170) and the Centre will receive 10 free PIC examination papers in appreciation
of their dedication and support of the PIC programme.
